How To Personally Connect With Your Readers
Have you ever seen Jim Kukral's blog? Take a look at The Daily Flip . In fact, you ought to go back through Jim's archives and read his posts over the last several months ... er ... I mean, WATCH his posts over the last several months. OK, he writes a little, and he videos a little.

Most of Jim's videos are just a couple minutes, which is perfect for the internet. And what is really perfect is that you get to see Jim, you hear him, you see him laugh, you hear his sardonic wit, you see that he knows what he's doing and he's very willing to put himself out there and do some kind of weird stuff ... even if he looks a bit like a doofus.

All in all, listening, seeing, reading ... if you're anything like me, you start to really like Jim.

Is that a great model for a blogger, or what?

For me, it went further. Jim talks about the The Flip video camera he uses (Get it? His blog is The Daily Flip!) And so I went to the website he set up where he is an Amazon affiliate, and I bought the camera there. Why? Because I really like Jim. I bonded with his voice and his mannerisms from watching his videos.

I am not a techie person. After 12 years online, I do know a few HTML codes, but that's about it. I'm a writer. I haven't bought a camera in ... well ... I guess the last one was 1992. My kids have cameras. I let them decide what to get and take the pictures.

I love simple, non-tech stuff. And that really describes The Flip camera. It's so simple even I can use it. And it should be quite clear to everyone now that video is the future of the internet. It would be a real good idea to get your blog ahead of THAT curve. The personal connection you get with your readers could be worth a fortune to you.
