Everyone wants to know if there is a way to get indexed quickly. There's a lot of information related to this subject matter online but the problem is that most of it is outdated. As search engine algorithms change so do the techniques we use to get indexed quickly. These days Google and other popular search engines are starting to give a bit more weight to the social bookmarking sites so we'll talk a little bit about that. I will also explain a couple of common techniques that work well and even offer my own little trick. So let's get right to it.
1. Use Social Bookmarking The first step you should take to get indexed quickly is to immediately submit your post to all of the social bookmarking sites you can find. Digg, StumbleUpon, Technorati, Twitter...these are social bookmarking sites, and they are taking over! It works like this: these sites are constantly getting indexed by Google as they are very popular high traffic sites. So the Google bot is always there. Put a link on one of these sites and Google will follow it and index your site. I highly recommend submitting not just to one or two of these sites but more like 50 of them. This is sure to help you get indexed quickly but there is a slight problem...which I have the answer to. The problem is the time it takes and the insane amount of tool bars to download. Fortunately, someone has already thought of this and there is an excellent site that you can go to to quickly submit your new post to all of the major social bookmarking site. WWW.Socialmarker.com makes it quick and easy to submit to 46 social bookmarking sites in about 15 minutes. Think about it. You get 46 backlinks from some of the best SB sites on the net in 15 minutes! Not only is this a great way to increase your traffic but it also helps out quite a bit in getting indexed quickly. The best thing about www.socialmarker.com is that it's free. 2. Post to "Do Follow" blogsOK, so you spend 15 minutes or so doing your bookmarking. The next action step is to post to blogs that allow the Google bot to follow their links. These are commonly referred to as "Do Follow" blogs. When you post a comment on a blog you can leave a link back to your new post. Make sure to use a variety of anchor texts related to the main keyword theme of your post. Then go and submit the posts you commented on to a few more social bookmarking sites. This will again send the Google bot to another page that has your link on it. How do you find relevant do follow blogs? I use Real Link Finder. It's a really cool and FREE piece of software. It's very easy to use and I think it's quite effective. You simply enter a keyword into Real Link Finder and click "Find Blogs". It will return all of the do follow blogs in your niche. Piece of cake. 3. Install Google AnalyticsThis really does help! Look at it this way: it's Google's job to index the worlds information. Google Analytics helps them do just that. The Google bot goes right to your site in no more than 24 hours. Install analytics on each and every page and you'll never really have to wait to get indexed, at least not in my experience. Even if you don't get indexed right away it still helps. 4. Ping Your New PostPingomatic and PingGoat are two of the most popular ping tools around. Don't over do it, just ping your post once, or twice if you make a change to it. 5. My Secret Trick
Try this one out as it works for me but I never hear of anyone else doing this. When choosing a post title I always check to see what the SERPS show. I'll enter my proposed title into Google "With Quotes". If Google shows no results for that term then I'll really consider using it. The theory behind this is that when you search for a string that has no results Google flags the search. Then you publish your post and Google will pick up on it really quickly because it's waiting for someone to post that search term.
Sometimes I can take a brand new domain and create a blog that very day and get indexed with this method. Once in a while I'll get indexed really quickly, like 10 minutes, but then again sometimes it doesn't seem to help that much. It helps of course if your keyword is contained in your url. Last but not least it also helps if your post is optimized correctly for your keyword. Make sure you use your key phrase repeatedly in your post, preferably at the beginning and the end. It also helps when the key phrase appears in bold lettering and or italics. I recommend a keyword density of about 2%-4%
These 5 steps to getting indexed quickly are quick, easy and effective. Not to mention up to date. Make sure to try out my little trick because it really works and that makes it kind of fun!
